Casino

Come on in to this wonderful place. We have something to fit every ones taste! Whether it be Roulette, cards, or some dice... please spend your money...don't you think twice. For those who like slots...you can win different pots... just raise up your bet, cause you could win lots. What's this I hear...you've spent all your cash. Isn't that a shame...as you make a mad dash. To the ATM you run...now isn't this fun? Your reasoning is that you weren't really done. Your luck it will change...you keep telling yourself... as you think of your bills at home on a shelf. The machines they call you... they know you by name... maybe it's time you try to refrain. I do enjoy casinos and this poem effectively points out the "pull" so apparent in the psychology of the casino. I loved the dual lines, "the machines they call you. . .they know you by name..." So true! Great write! L

You certainly have a remarkable insight into life and people. Perhaps they should post this poem in the parking lots at the "casino's". I have lost dear friends to addictions..

Most casinos are good to seniors. I only go to play bingo on senior day where we get free donuts, soft drinks or coffee and OJ. We also slide our club card and every Wed. we can win 5 to 55 dollars. It's usually $5, but almost enough to play paper bingo. It's fun entertainment for 2 hours and free transportation. I leave my credit cards at home and only bring what I can afford to lose! That's a word to the wise for casino gamblers. You might want to read my poem, "Grandma's Playing Bingo"

Atlantic City has a lot more competition for gamblers' money these days. I worked in that city for over fourteen years, and I have plenty of vicarious experiences from the other side of the tables. Good write.
