Carnival Mirror

Distorted image of a face that`s not mine My only accessory is a serpentine twine Coiled round my neck, my Self it`s smothering I suffer the consequences of its mothering Its grip is tight, bite venomous, gaze hypnotic The spell seems unbreakable, its reign is despotic Confusing and confused, my thoughts and words it rules Existence is tainted, decorated with false jewels The image in the looking glass is not really me My actions are misleading too, they`re not free Honesty and veracity are only to be found here, From this sphere the puppeteer is forced to disappear
