Carefree Child

I want to fade away or orb to times when things were easy where life made sense I want to be that carefree child again, that child who ran through the field and only saw the beauty of life That child that was protected that had a safe haven a child whose shoulders were not worn down by things out of my control I need to smile again I need to be that carefree child again...

Don't we all! Life has a way of stealing our wonder and joy, it's called the loss of innocence. I lost mine at three. But if it means that I've got to lose it all over again then no thanks!

Wonderful, WIlma, (now acting NOT like a siren!) yes, that is one of my goals in life, to try to make people laugh as often as I can! It's just in my blood. I am a Peter PanESS and this poem tickles my fancy. LUv, Andrea

I can definitely relate, Wilma. Growing up can be painful. Yet, I don't know if I'd want to be a child in today's world, though. Maybe going back in time...yeah. Beautiful write, regardless. Goes to my fav. as I enjoyed the imagery. Love, Audrey
