Captivity

5/8/13 Spread out your wings Come on, baby – it’s your time to fly today Our misfortune stings Pour forth your ecstasy – will it take away Our despondency? Bring me out of captivity… Producing calamity… I can’t reach for His light – THROW ME A ROPE! I’m buried far below… Midnight’s as dark as the cawing crow I CAN’T CLIMB…due to my lack of energy Fortify me by your might Spread out your wings Wake up, darling…wake up to reality – Open up your window . . . Our sundrenched spirits brings Happiness to the hungry, arduous world His sincerity bestow Miracles & eternal peace instead of remorse & catastrophe Shield me with your radiance Give me a taste of your jubilance… Your voluptuous essence YOUR Pure, holy Sustenance… Not their truculence… Their arrogance… Their reluctance… Their defiance… their unfeeling essence, Evincing their callous hearts of stone And crafting it, open to the public Open to the world of woe Spread out your wings Keep on believing, dearest – It’s not your time to die… Your face is doused in dismay Your melody still rings In my ears… sticking to me like a broken record... Will it shed a tune of delight today? Is it a cure to our tragedy? Drag me out of captivity… I’m sick of all of this cruelty… I’ve fallen into a pit of obscurity– GIVE ME a taste of your effulgence I’m unchained from my captivity… Am I surely free? Where shall I flee? Daylight’s as bright as the dove, fluttering gaily I’m incapable of flight…due to my lack of wings Strengthen me throughout my plight! ~ ~ ~ How did you make my high spirits soar upright? ~ ~ ~
