Captive Souls

Captive souls Cry out, desperate... “I want to be free!” The soul cage, Locked in the darkness, Light blocked completely... Sitting still- Not even stirring, Disintegrating. Time passes, They rot in silence In this mortal wear. "Just freedom! Just some light!” they scream, Their cries fade to death... Then comes God "One day man will die And you will be free!" Illusion Is what hurts the most For light-deprived souls. They do wait, And rot in silence, For the day to come. The day comes, They are free, aren't they? They aren't, never will be. "Where is God?" They ask, “Where is light?" A void - now their home. "Is this Hell?" "All is HELL!” rebounds Off the empty void. "God! Please come!" Plea the captive souls. The plea heard by none. Like mantle rocks Keeping Earth stable, Maintaining the heat, Are all burnt By the fire they rise. Earth lives on, they die; Souls aren't free They too burn and rot To help man live till death. And then God, On his high abode Watches the souls cry. Man lives, dies, Souls are immortal; Man laughs and man cries. Souls stay still "You will not be free!" Forever captive......
