Cancer's Cost

Cancer's Cost Cancer may ravage whole body parts but it can never conquer resolute hearts. Battered and bruised by aggressive procedures we may hardly recognize our distinguishing features. Remember this my friend, all hope is not lost You can fight this evil enemy, but there is a cost. The price is determination, a strong will to keep living you have so much goodness left inside to keep giving. Remember this my friend, We are more than the sum of our human body parts Cancer cannot kill the eternal love dwelling in our hearts! John Derek Hamilton December 21,2015

Thanks for letting me know of this poem, John. The cost alone is what may kill ME I am still not certain how well I am covered by this health share plan i have. I am sorry you lost those two friends to cancer. they were both my age. That's so scary!!

They were both pancreatic cancer, the most deadly so I'm sure you don't have to worry.

I have a huge lump in my throat that my happiness poem inspired you to write this John. Cancer has changed my life forever but it is for the better because now I am writing poetry - with out my husband's cancer I never would have picked up my pen :-) Seasons Greetings - lets hope it is a healthy one for us all. My friend is terminally ill with this dreadful disease - she gave us a very small artificial Christmas tree about 8 years ago - this year it is the only one we have up:-( hugs Jan xx

Thanks Jan for understanding, your N/A, the sadness in your happiness poem came shining through, and we are all glad you are writing. I started writing 3 years ago after my cardiac arrest. Best wishes to you, hope for health and happiness!
