Wonderfully written. Thanks for your comment on mine. It was written for my Grandfather in his last days battling cancer. He passed in 2003. It has taken such a toll on our family and many mourned for so long. He was a HUGE Saints fan so he was especially on my mind when the Saints took the Super Bowl yesterday. Hugs and prayers to you and your family.

Thank you for sharing your story with us in the blog and also in your recent comment, Janette. You are a strong woman to stand by your husband and ensure he receives the best quality of care at this time. You and he are in my prayers along with John Heck (a shocker yesterday), Danielle White and several other wonderful Soup members who are struggling right now. If you ever want to talk, send me your number and I'll give you a call. It may help. God bless you. Love, Carolyn

Having seen many fine people die from this insidious disease, I should say you hit the nail on the head here, Janette. Cancer is carnivorous, erosive and offers "no respite." God, I hate to think of people as "hosts," but to this disease too many have served as such. Outstanding writing, Janette. (My dear friend "Jeanett" died of cancer in 2003, followed by my friend Chris in 2005 who helped me give the euology at Jeanett's funeral days before learning he had cancer.) Excellent work!

A very serious topic that many encounter in their or a family members lifetime. Thats for reminding us that this is happening in our fine country and maybe that through research this illness can be conquered. Keep the creative pen flowing. Sara

I hope the respite comes in the form of acceptance and God's grace. Coming from someone who has been dying from disease off and on for over 15 years. Much love and prayers to anyone facing disease themselves or of a loved one. Thanks for sharing. Love, Scarlet

if you insert a U, then a small switch, the meaning is CAN CURE... I insist to see it this way, in love for those I know and for those I don't know who struggle with this. Many hugs and and much love to you, for the new year. :) xo . we believe what we believe and the body does too. I believe we beat this one.
