There are three things I like about your poem - it's traditional form, the emotion at "beloved", and the successful third line in moving the poem along, which, as Kim says, leaves something to ponder upon. I am giving it a 7, and marking it a FAVE.

This haiku moment, I can well imagine. Yet it manages to leave something to ponder upon. Something is brewin' Dave? :-) I agree with SKAT, or, one can prepare for the coming metaphorical winter:-)
