Can You Shine a Light On Me My Spirit
Light - I know we all are in need of it.
But can you shine it on me?
I don’t mean to sound selfish.
I just need it.
So shine a sea of it on me.
Enough of it on me to set me free.
I’ll use the rest on the next human being that seems to be praying for the same sort of thing.
So can you shine it on me?
Shine it on me.
Been going through this storm, uniformed to be disappointed.
And every time I take a closer look, the arrow still; it’s pointing at me.
Am I a target?
Am I the object?
Or just a project unforeseen?
Can you shine some light on me?
The truth hurts, even when you don’t, ‘cause the reasoning.
Dad bailed, lost trails, tragedies. But you still can’t disappear.
The aftermath is your responsibility.
A roller-coaster at some point needs to be stopped.
So let go and stop to breathe.
Can you shine a light on me?
So I can lead a better path for the ones that follow me?
Shine a light.
Shine your light …on me.
