Can Hear Them All
Spring came and were so many showers
And seems like sparrows sang for hours
Which ended up turning into much rain
Drops hitting against my window pane.
When a singing sparrow would appear
All of her songs I would often hear;
Many times fooled around and did fret
Searching for wiggly worms until sunset.
Baby sparrows were smaller than her
And you could never tell for sure
What sex could possibly be or were
Or male or female which did occur.
Even though they leave in the fall
No matter what, I still love them all
And always know again next spring
I can hear them all sweetly, softly sing.
