Camp Royal
A tingling feeling I cannot hide,
a memorable camp where all worlds collide.
Anxiety ran through my thick vains
as I arrived with pit-stick stains.
Being the shy person I truly was,
I counted the days for Saturday's bus.
I missed all my friends and people I knew,
I see too many shirts and sweaters of blue.
Cold showers. Hard beds. No lights at night.
I hated clogged toilets and all bug bites.
But it took me awhile to realize,
just how great it was and actually nice.
I met many people so genuinely real,
I cannot describe the things I feel.
Counselors that bring out the best in you,
over 100 kids you see so true.
Out of everyone that I have met,
platform Snakepit I hold most respect.
Mixed emotions stirring in my heart,
knowing that this is where it all start.
