Cachinnation
Cachinnation
I sought to sneak a surreptitious ogle
Into people's hearts, long wont to swaddle
Lugubrious as they were reluctant to bail
From their ethereal,pitiable jail
Launch a ludicrous joke and torment appease
Provoke laughter and ruinous anxiety ease
I had always surmised in humor as healing
To break the ice and mood lightening
Met my bid,alas,with mundane grin
Blemishing their strained faces and souls akin
Like tarantula spiders without food superannuate
For years intern themselves and disallow to mitigate
Why pleasantry has come undone
Most hearts have sunk and engulfed in the long run.
