By the Lake - Constanza
Here by the lake distractions few
My mind feasted on nature’s food
That sets me in a loving mood
The scenes that greets me always new
A perfect place where lovers meet
While some just come to wet their feet
Birdies chirping, grass wet with dew
Squirrels scampering up and down
Dogs stretch their leash their face a frown
All types of fish of different hue
Swimming around ripples they make
Eating the crumb of children’s cake
In the water so cool and blue
Reflection of a sunny sky
Guys on water bikes splashing by
Here by the lake distractions few
The scenes that greets me always new
Birdies chirping grass wet with dew
All types of fish different hue
In the water so cool and blue
