a butterfly emerging from a cocoon safe from the outside world wrapped up in cotton a distraction from reality saving myself you are the colours the colours on my wings emerging I fly to you held delicately in your hand one of natures wonders awash with your beauty on the tip of your finger the love of you my beautiful world looking directly at me

Beautiful poem, Liam. I really enjoy reading your work, it's so relaxing and calming....This reminded me of my poem "Broken Wings". However, my story does not end as sweetly as yours did here.

I was actually referring to the story of my poem, "Broken Wings", not the story of my life. My life is no where near it's end! :)

I love butterfly poems..a butterfly somehow represents freedom..joy..colour beauty..I can see this butterfly freeing itself from the world..finding comfort on a hand which hold it safely and finding love ...A beautiful personofication..Just enchanting to compare yourself to it.
