Butterfly Blessings
It has been stated that when a butterfly lands on you, in many cultures it is a sign of joy, hope, and optimism.
I consider myself an open-minded individual and not prone to varying degrees of skepticism.
It can also mean something great is about to happen or that you are moving in the right direction.
I am always willing to learn something new, striving towards that wonderful day of perfection.
Upon taking a break from a busy day at work, I happened upon a butterfly perched along the warm sidewalk.
I cautiously approached the butterfly speaking words of peace, silently in my mind.
I spoke not a word, I uttered no sound, I did not talk.
I slowly bent down as the butterfly allowed me to stroke its wing with my index finger.
After caressing its wing, I thought surely, it would fly away and would not linger.
The butterfly turned slowly as if to say, neglect not my other wing for I do have two.
It seemed the more I spoke to it and stroked it, the more this amazing connection grew.
I gently stroked the other wing, having the strangest feeling this beautiful creature would not fly away but rather it would linger.
I slowly and carefully placed my hand on this Monark butterfly and she climbed up onto my finger!
I captured this moment on camera, which expresses peace, patience, love, and trust for the world to see.
We are all from source and by grace, we are all connected and upon that realization, as the Monark, we are free.
