Butterflies of Beauty
On a mundane day, dreary with boring grey
It is a butterfly fluttering by with instant effect
Which transforms and adorns the scene with injection of stark beauty.
Not flies, not lovers of butter,
Who coined such a tasteless and unseemly name for these ugly ducking clothed swans?
These ultimate squiggles and dabs of flagrant beauteous color and form
Deserve a better name and signature on work of art wings
One that heralds these insects instant effect on weather, mood, scene frames and vistas
Any suggestions?
