Burnt Offerings
I close my eyes to remember you...
the beauty of your face,
the softness of your lips,
I remember the tenderness
of your touch,
the sweetness of your love,
the moan of your passion,
I remember your hair blowing gently
in the breeze,
your tears of sadness,
your laughter of joy.
We forget many things in this life,
but I cannot forget you,
your memory is forever burned on the
inside of my eyelids.
We often close our eyes to forget,
but it is only when I close my eyes
that I clearly see.
