Burning Embers

Burning Embers (A New Song) Perhaps a song within still shimmers… like the embers of a long forgotten fire awaiting new kindling. The old lyrics forgotten, as the logs that did burn, that warmed the soul no longer in harmony with the spirit: …stripped of the notes that once crackled and sparked when a harsh stirring occurred in the heart …a cord or two gone up in life’s flames sending with it a chorus of pain rising in blinding smoke. Perhaps within the ember’s glow rests that new song with a refreshing melody… hope glowing in the ashes. By: Debra Squyres 02/04/13
