Bugalugs

Such cute little critters These black and orange bugs Ladybugs they're known as I call 'em Bugalugs They're also called Beetles Sounds like a nasty critter Better to call them Bugalugs It makes them less bitter Sure would be a lot of fun Shrinking down in size Riding on their hardened shell Flying across the skies If you spot one of these critters Say hello and wish 'em well Show these guys a little respect Their pride will surely swell © Jack Ellison 2014

In the summer we catch fire flies out side... In the fall we catch Lady bugs in the house and give them their own room... so we can walk around. One of the penguins approves their flight plans so they don't get in the way... too much... We're knitting little bed blankies for the mice stationed in the garage... But the squirrels are dumb as bricks and can't seem to make a descent nest... We have to help them with cute little squirrel houses... Fall is a very busy place around here... LOL

This is a cute ladybird write, Jack. We were always warned not to kill them because they are useful on farms and in gardens. There are several legends related to these lovely insects, but I would need a book to write them all down! // paul

Hi Paul! Instead of a book, how about writing a serious poem about these important little critters! What say you?

fun poem enjoyed it,thanks. Our tradition was to count the dots and you'd get a years good luck for each dot. Then have them fly away and if you didn't see them land you would get your good luck :o)
