Bubbles and Jazz

False clouds float past A child swipes at one Violet eyed dewdrops Stick to our skin And fall from the sky Billowing shapes twinkle and vanish We talk to those who aren't there Music comes beyond the waves And it could be our souls Humming in pure delight The air tastes of an old memory But this one is new Staring at now We are outside time In a place of flying rainbows And Heartbeat music Her eyes try to hold Now. And I see them Overflow. I spin her and we laugh Chasing after cotton candy clouds Like we chase after us. They disappear And we stand The waves becoming our heart And the music our soul.

So many lines to intrigue and enthrall. I loved the line..the air tastes of an old memory. I also loved the build up till the last line. :) Leaves one happy and content.

Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed this poem. At the time I was in California with my friend. There was an old lady blowing bubbles and an aged man playing the saxophone. It was truly a perfect moment.
