Brush Strokes
If life were a painting, I think mine is fine art
Its colours are vibrant, that glow round my heart
The brushstrokes are flowing and guided with care
But beautiful pictures are best when you share
If love were a statue the form would be fine
Its lines and its structure of perfect design
The shape that it took would be beauty perfected
Any who viewed it never neglected.
If fate is the artist, then its talents are great
Its canvas is boundless and in ever changing state
My paintings unfinished, and long may it take
Its subject selected, by life’s choices I make
