Brown Petal

one petal slightly browned on a flower that wouldn’t die she said it would she knew it could she was certain it should but I in my staunch stubborn sureness wouldn’t believe her I said "love lasts forever" she replied "what does that have to do with it" and I said "everything" we went on to discuss the state of affairs one of us laughing the other crying perceptions, intentions confusion everywhere. that flower would die I knew it but didn’t want to after all love lasts forever but what does that have to do with it?
