Broken Vows
Moments held with tenderness
In memories deep and dark recess
Of when our love was in its Spring
We unabashed by anything
We kissed and cuddled open air
Our love was blind we did not care
About the stares that we received
They were just jealous we believed
A taste we had and wanted more
Our love was burning to the core
Filled with an insatiable lust
We never gave a thought to trust
However time she has a way
Of setting trials shall we say
That try our dearest loves desire
Engulfing all in lustful fire
Making our faithful feet to stray
Breaking promises we made that day
When we stood near the altar grand
Holding tight each others hand
In health we promised, sickness too
Was it all too much for us to do
Should we all read the vows before
We promise all for evermore
