Broken Promise

As i waved you goodbye the day that i left A loving embrace and the tears that were wept To the poppyfields of france we answered the call So many young lives lost and its here that i fall My mind wanders back to when i last saw you My promise to you that this we would get through The crossing of my heart to our young son and daughter That daddy would be back home come hell or high water Remember me.......
