Broken Dreams

When I was a child I would dream That I would have riches and fame I would be a movie star Have a mansion and a luxury car I would have everything I need I was determined one day to succeed Then I shared my dream with a friend That’s when my dream came to an end Who can a star out of you make? She said I didn’t have what it would take She said that I must face the fact I had no talent nor could I act The words she said brought me no delight So I said in my mind Maybe she is right So I put my dream upon a shelf Unaccomplished alone by itself
