Broken

Broken The way I feel so broken inside, Like something is missing, It’s just not right, A gentle hug, A sweet caress, I feel a heart beat, Within my chest, Familiar, yet not my own, Lost somewhere to the cold, But this I keep warm inside, Knowing somewhere he’s still alive, He may let a few tears fall, With thoughts of me and lost memories, But one so sacred without our eyes, Fallen asleep with a single sigh, Words unspoken there is no need, We feel their life with each beat, A beat, a break, a healing scar, A night of bliss within warm arms.
