Bring Back

Bring back... By Michelle Morris 16/08/2020 I had a piano And I could play a tune For you... Cheer you up, Help you forget the gloom... But then you left - Your soul took flight On one dark, unholy night... And I hated the universe then... So I gave away that piano, Let someone else play True music because It left me... When you left me... Music it left me... You took it with you... Far, far away... Now there's no music in my life, Just starry skies that I wish upon... Hoping you're alright... That you could come back again... And... Bring back the music... Bring back your love... Bring back all we had... Bring back yourself... I had a piano, There's a space there Where it stood; Like the space in my heart, Where you once lived... But I had to lock my Love up tight, And hide it within my Soul... No more feeling Out of control... I just wish you would Come back and... Bring back the music... Bring back your love... Bring back my happiness... Bring back my life... I forgive you... (I forgive you...) I miss you... (I miss you...) Please come back to me... (Please come back to me...) And... Bring back the music... Bring back your love... Bring back our future... Bring back yourself... © Michelle Morris, 2020
