When the night claims you like a wayward leaf of old and it takes you to the caves where anything turns gold you don't ask any questions and you don't dare breathe you just follow her, like a light weight tumbled weed. Down the passages of dark, down the staircase of rune every step a little deeper than the crevices of moon you can almost taste the air, on your tonguing clepe you can down the stars of heaven in one single leap. Taking you by the waist it shall dance you through the elixir of happiness when your feeling down n' blue you just thank the Lord for the magic of this gift all you need is skin n'eyes to cross her lowly rift. When night claims you like wayward leaf of old and it takes you to the caves where anything turns gold you don't ask any questions and you don't dare breathe you just follow her, like a light weight tumbled weed. yes, breathe . . . When your deep sorrow stabs your soul with a sharp sword and you are seeking a fantasy world, dear Lord you follow your soul and dream, saying can I breathe but as this dream's winding path flows, you sigh, just breathe. You drift down into your dream until you are free and you are in a wondrous place with him, to see sigh, thankful for this respite from reality weightless and set free, floating in a fantasy. He holds you captive as you dance and twirl deep down in the corridors of your mind, you swirl and sing happiness and gratitude for this gift it is still and peaceful, and blissfully you drift. When your deep sorrow stabs your soul with a sharp sword and you are seeking a fantasy world, dear Lord you follow your soul and dream, saying can I breathe but as this dream's winding path flows, you sigh, just breathe yes, breathe . . . _______________________ January 6, 2016 Poetry/Quatrain/Collaboration/"Breathe" Copyright Protected, ID 16-742-050-0 All Rights Reserved. Another insightful perspective from you, B W. Interesting way of repeating that insight in the first and fourth stanzas. Wonderful win!

G'day Broken Wings ... how often are we told to stop and take a deep breath. I liked the use of repetitive verses BW - Lindsay
