Breath of Air

I try to inhale, But I am choking, From this smog veil, That is overbearing. Is the city sick? Is it dying? From pollutants so thick, And the kids now crying. We've started down, A path irreversible, Cars we all own, Is the earth worth a convertible? Can I find a place, Where I can breathe, Without this poison in my face, Only fresh air can relieve.
