Breath

"Sweet breath That now comes so hard My tired lungs betray me I slowly drown in a sea of air Crossing a room is painful I can no longer mount a stair Sweet nothingness approaches I fear it not For it will bring, The birds to my yard, Where with joy they will sing And for me, the only thing, I pray for me it should bring, That which I most covet to gain.... An end to this horrific pain."
