Breaking Down Doors

As the door opens and behind me slams shut. It was like someone punching me hard in the gut. In jail is where I'll be for the next nine months. This is where myself, I had no choice but to confront. The doors slammed on all my dreams. In my head, all I hear is my screams. In this small room is where I'll do my time. This is a true story, not one made up just to rhyme. Locked up for nine months in one space. Alone with my thoughts and life I had to face. This wasn't a jail cell, it was more like a tomb. One in which I died, but was reborn from this womb. When I got out, nothing was given to me. I earned everything I have and everything I'll be. No door was opened with people saying come on in. I had to open them myself, and break them down to win. I made up for the person I was, and the mistakes I made. I became someone to be remembered, I will never again fade. Some doors aren't made to be opened, but to be ran through. I broke down my own doors, now I just want to know, can you?
