Branched In Without
There one sits full of thoughts
surrounded by every kind of tree
every branch has a message
but are they really all for me?
Feeling so crowded in and quiet
only the birds chirp way up top
maybe their tunes sooth your heart
but your inward self says listen stop!
All these branches encompass you
a type of protection so you think
but way outside of this barrier
are forces hiding under it's mink
There you feel so isolated
lonesome without full of fear
what's going to come of you
before the night draws near
Maybe a guardian angel to rescue
pick you up and sweep you away
but that only happens in dreams
or does it? well let's hope it may!
