I tossed her as high And as far as I could; So she could find her wings And soar away from me, I stopped holding on to her She was not my kite, I just let go, She couldn't keep walking By my side on this earth, Because she was Always meant to fly, And I was always meant to tread Alone, But somehow All roads away from her Just led me right back, Boomerang, I wasn't supposed to let go Of her I was supposed to let go Of me, So I could float Up and glide along with her...

Wow! I like it! There is always that risk when it comes to self sacrificing love - in the instance of wanting the best for someone else, you may end up giving up the wrong thing. Well penned poem!
