Boomerang
I tossed her as high
And as far as I could;
So she could find her wings
And soar away from me,
I stopped holding on to her
She was not my kite,
I just let go,
She couldn't keep walking
By my side on this earth,
Because she was
Always meant to fly,
And I was always
meant to tread
Alone,
But somehow
All roads away from her
Just led me right back,
Boomerang,
I wasn't supposed to let go
Of her
I was supposed to let go
Of me,
So I could float
Up and glide along with her...
