Bond Between Woman and Soul
tantalizing me at midnight,
i see not what you see in me-
lost in a labyrinth of plight,
may i be free from the life
I ONCE KNEW…
i wrangle with demons,
struggle,
hoping love could shine-
needing what isn’t given,
feeding on what isn’t living
i ask questions to the gods…
why is the depth of fear unbearable?
(replies of metaphors and
riddles of a conundrum)
i give way to the madness
and
endure all the sadness
i await the darkness;
his raven ceases an
aria of my light,
breaking the bond between
woman and soul-
my fate had no warning
as i wandered into fields
of barren umber grass,
protected by few
yet
loved
by many;
not remembering who
they are
and
why
