Blue Eyes

I first caught a glimpse of you at school on the bottom of the stairwell. Your eyes were so blue they literally made my heart melt. You gazed at me deeply but I turned away quickly because I couldn’t picture a you and me. A week after that you told me you liked me. I laughed at the idea of someone thinking I was pretty. We talked all day, through the twilight of the night. All I could think about was the color of your eyes. You had me head over heels. Just the thought of your name couldn’t keep me still. Your touch was so warm it calmed all of my storms. You were such a smooth talker, which drew me in more because I was a writer. Yet still I didn’t think you were the one. My friends tried to convince me ‘til my ears drew numb. Still I didn’t understand why I liked you, as you were quiet young. I never drew interest to boys with light colored eyes and a curly topped head. But your soul had something different. Different from the rest. I felt this was destined to create a huge mess. But when I’m with you, I feel my absolute best.
