Bloody Ridiculous

Into each life some rain must fall But this is bloody ridiculous Folks on the corner are building an ark Their workmanship is quite fastidious They seem to know something is up Like a scary upcoming event Hasn't stopped raining for about a month Sometimes gets really intense Not used to this miserable rainy weather Where the heck did winter go? These dismal skies can be so depressing What we need is piles of snow Whoa is me, I'm sounding like Eeyore I repeat, this is bloody ridiculous I used to be such a happy old soul The gods have become unscrupulous © Jack Ellison 2013 The forecasters are predicting 55°F today... this Canada in January!!! What's up with that???

I made it back here so I must comment. I don't know if there is a duality here in regards to weather and life, not that we can escape that to a certain point, but I mean in imagery. I know if my math is right, that isn't hockey weather though, but that would be pretty stereotypical of me. Nice poem in any regard, duality or not.

"a duality here in regards to weather and life"... there definitely is! Certainly not "hockey on the frozen streets weather"! Cheers, Jack

Lol, some places want rain and some have too much! I prefer rain over snow any day. Enjoyed, Jack. Have a cheerful day, lol :)

Ah the weather Jack, changing so much in these days,,, i lived in Perth W. Australia,, remember going 6 month with out hardly see a cloud, in fact a dollar for the first to see one... temps in 110 range day after day...yet Queensland had record rains etc etc,, your poem is very topical, but good to see what nature throws up where ever in the world...,.,

YIKES!!! 110! The weather's been cuckoo for the past two winters here in Canada! Very mild winters... very stinking hot summers! What is this world coming to? LOL

Ah ha! My favorite January thaw... Well known in Missouri. I'm gonna get my chair and sit outside (the rain just finished with us). Gotta grab it while you got it... The saying here is... if you don't like the weather... just wait a minute... it'll change drastically back and forth... (Has to do with a moving jet stream)
