Blood Kissed
Roll out of bed
Watch the sun
Rise up from
The end of the sky
Fog coming up
Waterway still
Nature is quiet
At this hour
The equator makes way
Up into the sky
The happiest thoughts
Fill the beginning of a new day
Meanwhile, I hear a baby cry
And the beautiful voice
Of a mother's lullaby
Hushed by the tender notes
Soft words spoken in rhythm
Infant child begins to smile
Filled up with joy
I hear a knock at the door
Aw, my sugar coated thoughts
Quickly disappear
Door opened
There stands my neighbor
Pot of tea in hand
We sit down together
Sipping tea
Catching up on our lives
Through the most pleasurable conversation
The sun continues to rise
Like a flag being pulled up
There it is
Sailing half staff
Making its way through the clouds
I step out into the day
Rays stretched across the sky
Then down upon me
Sun rays jet through my blood stream
Kissing my veins all the way down
From head to toe
A burst of energy
Has struck over me
On my way
Another happy day
