"Blind Man Turns"
Rest easy in my lull, Love Love is not the gentle goodnight, Love in the beguiling silence of Lost Lovers' Woods It is the war we all wager reflections in each other We run from it We run to it The Labyrinth we all are striding fresh through greener than green grass roads we never thought we’d journey futures like bruises bruises like roses blooming bruises like sunsets fading War torn We All are the softer, truth seeking and the fallen, sharp metal shards Love runs harder than war Love runs towards you with its arrows Bleeding slowly Bleeding fast Love Heads or Tails Hearts saved Heads rolling Tongues dry for a pass wanting wet trysts for duelling tails short and long tales to be read to the dreams that once in the past were futures formed like a sprouting bean in the belly from Love Falling free and hard short lived butterflies wings transparent veined in vanity are the Brave waiting for the burn Love bleeds hot bleeds fast Poets kissing soft warm bellies whispering breath over sensual hearts where the hot holy see parts singing “this will last” The Golden Grail shining waiting for you door open without chain mail holds a heart bled and worn An offering on your short spare alter never entirely yours but always mine blind man turns his heart ripe like an apple open and star seeded Light Burns waiting to be tasted a swallowed soul without feathers born again (LadyLabyrinth / 2020)

Makes those Preppers not look too crazy now. I figure if you are living out of a city or township, on a property with wide open spaces, with little contact or an opportunity to naturally self-isolate, then you and your beautiful wife, and any of your loved ones who have not been touched by this monster, will (hopefully) be much safer than those cramped in dirty cities. Take care, stay safe Bard, lots of love, as always, Leanne. x

Scribed with pen in hand, you've inked a beautiful canvas. Wonderfully Eloquent are your musings. Further reflection upon this painted mirror is a must. "This is now a Fav. Thank you for sharing and congratulations on POTD! JC Hawkens

Thank you JC Hawkens....have read your current portfolio of poems/stories. I LOVE "A Murder Most Foul"...a hint of HP Lovecraft, but totally your own work. I will be interested to read the next creation.

What time is waste if lived to the fullest measure, while seeking beauty even while in its midst, could that love's pen write such sweet verse to be read by those so wise as to see its form and shape before a word be spilled then read aloud in the heart's grand hall where few are invited to behold the present days in thoughtful renderings from mind's worthy of such discussion and praise, cast in a ray of light welcomed with peace and love into the grand hall with a heart's understanding

A beautiful, positive take on it all. How goes the Bard with the Lockdown? Has cabin fever set in yet? I self-isolate naturally. Trust you, all your loved ones remain safe. :)

Ah, it's through the eyes the mind finds vision, to lift cupid beyond as risk becomes a need and truth is the courage of needs fulfilled, Where sacrifice is the setting sun which comes and goes between the darkness and light where battles are fought on either edge of love's sword, We are not moths that run towards rather bee's that hover above scented flowers seeking love's honey to which we are all addicted, love sees through the lens of the soul from its own prison of wants and needs

"When in the chronicle of wasted time I see descriptions of the fairest wights, And beauty making beautiful old rhyme In praise of ladies dead and lovely knights, Then, in the blazon of sweet beauty's best, Of hand, of foot, of lip, of eye, of brow, I see their antique pen would have express'd Even such a beauty as you master now. So all their praises are but prophecies Of this our time, all you prefiguring; And, for they look'd but with divining eyes, They had not skill enough your worth to sing: For we, which now behold these present days, Have eyes to wonder, but lack tongues to praise."

love is what we want it to be, it's a dreamer's dream, a liar's lie, a poet's poem, it is and is not, it's the space between Heaven and Earth that lives between ears giving shape and form to passions born from its fragrant breath as we chase its scent on the path we follow into the unknown realms of its shades

"Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind, and therefore is wing'd cupid painted blind.” “The best people possess a feeling for beauty, the courage to take risks, the discipline to tell the truth, the capacity for sacrifice. Ironically, their virtues make them vulnerable; they are often wounded, sometimes destroyed.” Love is a two edged sword. We are all running towards it, we are all running from it. Eventually, it is the last thing in one way or another to cross our mind, at that Road we all eventually arrive at, with no turning back ...x

Congratulations on POTD. Fascinating poetry my friend. Truly an amazing vision and a poetic heart singing in depths of delight, winds of love and storms that bring blessed rains or shattering aches. Love that which once touched either burns or hold with its tentacles of passion, pleasures, and/or warmth of purest joy! Great poetry my friend. A fav.

"Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep." It's my dimension, big boy. Thanks Light Angel. x

I just like to write Kelli. No amazing artist here, but thank you. It is amazing during times of isolation, new insights into all sorts of things discovered. I must say, I do love your recent poem about the painter/artist. Makes me want to pull out the paints and brushes and start stroking the canvas...again. x

Love is war. There are winners and losers. Sometimes you have to lose to win.
