Blaze
I will not give up, I'll find another way.
The roads I have forgotten, have grown.
Lights ahead are off, but I am my own blaze.
May other judgments not turn my head,
and cause my red eyes to look dismayed.
I will not give up, I'll find another way.
Whispers of discouragement will stay,
but my back will carry them and not stray.
Lights ahead are off, but I am my own blaze.
May they look at me as a foolish one;
gypsey dancing in the night of day.
I will not give up, I'll find another way.
Like young hearts that believe in each other,
no questions needed or answers to cover.
Lights ahead are off, but I am my own blaze.
Carry on, carry on, everything my block.
But I shall climb it with a broken hand!
I will not give up, I'll find another way!
Lights ahead are off, but I am my own blaze!
