Blast Off

There’s never enough time. With minutes left, I search for your face. I hope I see it soon, among the stars. I’ve stalled & drug around buying time Until you arrive, to no avail. There’s never enough time. Everyone’s always in such an uproar. It would be easier if I could take you With me. With minutes left I search for your face, Life flashing before my eyes. Our passion a countdown to the last Second. Soon we’ll be on display for all to see, & I will love you shamelessly & complete. An untamed galaxy, my breath yours For the taking. Soon we’ll blast off. With minutes left, I search for your face. There’s never enough time. It would be easier to take you with me. If dreams only worked that way, In terms of cosmic implosions. I’d be dead. However long it takes until launch
