Blanket of Happy

I wish I had magic to take away her sad A blanket of happy to drape over her shoulders Warming her spirit turning her solemn day glad Sometimes darkness rolls over us like boulders Each of us possesses a special gift to share A blanket of happy to drape over her shoulders When a mood comes we can feel full of despair I have spent many days on darkened doorways Each of us possesses a special gift to share Each word I send is sprinkled with light rays My friend does not need to stay where I've been I have spent many days on darkened doorways Let her soar amidst natures happy scene My happy thoughts flow across a calm sea My friend does not need to stay where I've been It may not be enough yet I give a part of me My happy thoughts flow across a calm sea I wish I had magic to take away her sad Warming her spirit turning her solemn day glad

I am amazed that you think you have lost your dream. From my perspective it is merely a matter of you pursuing it. You have the talent you just need to put a plan in motion to move towards it. When it comes to poetry soup this is not the venue to become recognized, it is a place to hone our writing skills.

Too much pressure....Work wise, family commitment wise....big events coming up. I'm just so not up to anything taxing. I've become a bit of a recluse. I'm worried....At times...I just don't see that light at the end of the tunnel...A big BIG cause of my pain is my writing....It's hard to lose a dream...I can't bear it...

Yes I do enjoy this form, it is kind of like excercise for the mind. Sometimes difficult to carry a coherent thought from beginning to end which is actualy the beginning again.
