Blank and Block Continue
Block stays solid in the afternoon
As all good cubes should do
Past, present and the future contemplated
They remain the same and never change
Blank stares strait ahead in one direction
Contributes very little to society
Casting no reflection on the ocean
Simply sits and waits for it to stop
Seashore swells with anticipation
Day and waves break there together
In the morning Blank continues
Nothing there on the nothing new
Even with bright sun light looking on
It too shows indifference to the dawn
There, expressionless, becoming dim
Blank waits for it to set
Circles come to life to populate the world
There is no question this is strange behavior
Blank and Block pause to reflect
Refuse to give an inch to reason
Blank and Block continue, rarely think about extinction
That is not what they are paid to do
Circles have every right to occupy their space
Even if Blank and Block become replaced
