Lovely. Just lovely! It's amazing that you accept such rowdy neighbours at that time of the day. Let alone write such an endearing haiku about them.

Song was beautiful, Jan...my great/great Grandmother was Scottish...this dialect seems to comfort me....your poem is special...

I love the song this is based on. I think a Muslim that got banned by his religion did the Morning has broken song. Can't even think of his name right now! OH YES< Cat Stevens!! If you have not heard it,you have to google it!! I love how you were inspired by your Gaelic song.

Yes Cat Stevens goes under the name Yusuf Islam:-) I love morning has broken so much it is to be played at my funeral - they keyboards on the track are played by Rick Wakesman from the group YES and I met him several times as he lived on our Island a few years ago:-) hugs jan xx
