Black At Night

Life is easy being invisible, all you have to do is stay black all day You just go through life unnoticed, nobody ever hear the words you say But at night things get different, yes sir, nothing remains the same Getting stopped while driving black, turns into a Russian roulette game You might live, you might die The police has an itchy finger Being black is the reason why Stay black all day, and you'll be fine Just watch yourself come night time Stay black all day, keep a low profile Don't you dare forget to pray Death might be lurking, coming your way Life is hard being invisible, nothing you can do but stay black all day What you want and what you need, is hard to get working on yesterday slave's pay But at night things get real different, no sir, it ain't like it is in the day Getting stopped while driving black, might send your life heading the wrong way Don't ask questions, don't ask why The police with the itchy finger might give you the fade to black bye-bye Stay black all day, keep a low profile Don't you dare forget to pray Like a lurking crocodile, death may be coming your way Stay black all day, never forget who you are Just watch yourself at night time when you're in a car

True words my friend. I memory serves the Teacher even says not to travel at night or something to that affect.

Exactly, Steven. Jesus said there are 12 hours in the day to work. At night, no man works. That's the devil playtime. Ty for the love, my brother. Many blessings to you always.

Yes I can relate to this RW, not black myself, I'm a white fella, but grew up with aboriginal friends, and when they got to the age to get a job!!! Do you think anyone would hire them? Most of them ended up in prison for one reason or another. I can't swear on here, but it angers me so is all I can say. I have a few NZ mates, and watching their kids grow up and hearing the stories how they get treated is terrible. Good write and truth my friend /|\

Ty for the honest remarks, Rick. It is just frustrating and sad to be judged that way. But, not all police are like this. Still the angry few that are this way scares me. Just keeping it real as we are wont to say in the 'hood. Love and respect to you, bro.
