Black and White

In the dark, I become quiet and I listen to my pulse Then I wonder to myself About the day my heart is silent I don't think about this time When i am quiet, questioning There was never and evidence to the stories my mother told me The ones I learned in church They said the world is black and white But to me it's all just shades of gray
