Bitter and Sweet Love
Here we are cuddling a dream like one bid,
That reflects sweet affection so revered
By the loyalty of words never hid
A promise to share life till last hours neared.
With flames of gaiety and breathless nights
Time held us closer, enshrining a choice
To link both hearts through our marital rites –
Exciting my soul as “Yes” warmed your voice!
Until you grew frail , eyes slowly dimming
Into rainfall’s tears which grasped a brief sigh.
My fingers clinch although I wear our ring
An angelic token, you’re just nearby.
