BIRTHDAY I am 82 And feel it through and through One more birthday here With many years gone somewhere I suspect I’ll get a cake Get birthday greetings I’m so leery of sweet things Cards would be enough Gut won’t stand the sugar stuff Keep the tums handy old man

well a belated happy birthday to you Daver! Im 62 and I feel it through and through already. I can only imagine.. I keep the tums in the dash board and by my bed. Already can't do the sugar anymore. I heard it gets better as you get older? .......? One thing for sure ..your poetry is as sharp as ever!

So glad to hear that at 82 you still are writing poetry and have a sense of humor about getting older..My mother and father were just shy of 97 at their deaths..My mother's sister lived to be 98 and 3 months..So you have many more years to enjoy the cake and the cats and kittens..Thanks for stopping by..I really like the picture of the kitten in the overals hung on a peg in the contest that I entered..Sara

This is gret. Happy Birrthday my friend. My mom's 87 and still going strong. Maybe you'll get a cake made with Digestive Biscuits. I love those things God Bles, JB Oh by the way, I never herd about Custer and the goose feather. Must have ben some kind of revenge. I do know the Choctaw, Creek and Cherokee were known as Bird People so I'll have to look up something on goose feathers. God Bless, JB
