Beyond the Walls of Innocence

What evil lies beyond the walls of innocence? Who will protect our children? Can anyone repair our broken Hearts? We foolishly think that guns offer us protection Demons have no fear of physical things No logic can be found Evil breathes it's own air This battle cannot be won on our own merits Jesus reaches out his hands He so badly wants to embrace us Do we not realize that free will is a costly choice? We are the deluded ones, choosing to go our own way Further and further from His protection God remains steadfast Earnestly waiting to answer our call Willing to move move both Heaven and Earth Why do we still choose to wait? why do we deny God's existence? The Devil is pleased with our choice Pleased to usher us down his highway Past the walls of innocence His is a place where little angels do not exist Thankfully, even if we do not believe The innocent will know no more pain They will be safely sheltered in the Savior's loving arms The memory of their pain will vanish upon the morning breeze We cry for them and yet they have no tears Their days are filled with joy They know a purpose much higher than our own If we too become like little children We will know joy For this is meant to be our inheritance Will we choose to walk away?

Richard, my brother of words! This is beautifully penned and truly exceptional! The truth you speak in this piece sells the work, your skill is a bonus! Great work here! Also, I thank you for your kind words on my Twenty Crayons piece. I hate that I had reason to write of such horrific happenings... But I thank you for reading commenting.
