Beyond Dawn

Striated colorful clouds Upon the horizon Cobalt blue, pink, and sand exposed Swallows dance come on The Swallows fled when filled with bugs And the sun flows bright red Buzzards begin their journey out To feast on something dead The wispy clouds, fanbrushed wide Add laughter to the blue A still cool dampness caresses Birds sing and not a few Just a short time out on the porch Enjoying the new dawn Thank you God for this day's offering Of communication

Dear Sara, You always create such beautiful poems when you draw inspiration from nature's beauty as seen from your porch. Awesome! (And, yes, "ation" or "tion" make for easy rhymes.) Love, Carolyn
