Beyond All Reason

Midst the ruins of a once proud city blown apart by a holocaust of destruction, Men of war with fierce firing flames killing all without regard or compassion, Held in with fences and unclimeable walls dying souls from bodys left to rot, Sunlight blazing burning flesh as bombs falling from the sky cheaply bought. Ruins litter holy ground as smoke from sacrifice rises to pollute the sky, Death reigns supreme caring not who they were watching as all cry. Who gives the right to maim and kill ,to wipe all from this place, Where are the gods worshipped and praised will they remember her face. Look to the heavens for returning power promise so long ago, Where is the love and caring now promises fulfilled so slow. Money and power in the wrong hands cant see whats in the sand, Spending billions to bolster the chosen few stealing life and land. Things are witnessed beyond all reason and righteous thought, Commited by those whose souls have been bought. Shadows gather in a forlorn field swirling and drifting, Hiding from sight what has been done and hoping. False words will be spoken duping the masses, Search in your heart for truth hiding till all passes. Andrew McIntyre (c) 17/03/2024.
